Intro

This blog is the new home for all of my artwork and sound design projects. It will have all the art I have from my high school portfolio as well as the stuff I still have from college and work I have done since.

Sound Design projects will range from projects I did in college as well as all of my assignments from my classes at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies and any project I do on my own.

To anyone coming to this blog because of my logo coming up on the Impractical Jokers image search, welcome! I designed that for the show while I was a production assistant on it. Sadly it wasn't used. I highly recommend checking the show out though. Hilarious.

Finally! Being Robert Emmer is on You Tube!

So after 4 years of waiting to get this up online, here is my thesis film. This film was created to earn graduation at SVA. In case you couldn't guess from it, I graduated. Barely. Enjoy:

A Brave New World For This Site

First post of 2011. I now hope to use this blog to start a new business. Over the next few days I will be posting up brand new logo designs that I've created for coworkers and friends on Impractical Jokers.

I am uploading the first with this post.

The first is a logo I created for Comedian Mark Anthony Ramirez:

This is a full version of that logo.

And props I had made for this logo that ultimately went unused.

You can check out his website at www.markanthonyramirez.com.

Hello Again

Hello everyone. It's been over half a year since I've posted. Figured I'd update with my newest, and I believe final, design for my business card. I'll be making a few more changes to the site's design soon, and hopefully adding on more sound samples. Here's the new card.

New Business Card

New Business Card I designed. It's not done yet, I still have to get it colored right so that it doesn't print out dark etc.

Update: The second version of my card. I brightened things, took off the drop shadow, enlarged some of the information:

Update 2: I think this may be the final design

Update 3: Based on a friend's suggestion I added my email to the card, and in the second new version, changed the font to green:

Update 4: The Final versions of the card. One that has all of my info, one that just has the address to this blog:

Thanks!

I would like to thank my Tim Anderson and Rick Van Benshoten, both whom I owe for teaching their wonderful classes at NYU's School of Continuing & Professional Studies. Both are wonderful teachers and both are incredibly talented at what they do.

Spike TV Ad

The third of a series of three assignments from my Sound Design Class at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. The video footage was originally a Spike TV ad. I've included the original to compare my version to the real one. Personally, I don't think I did to bad. All rights for the video of course go to Spike TV. Please note that I didn't actually watch the original version until after mine was already done. Any similarities were completely coincidental.

My Final Project from Sound Design

The second of a series of three assignments from my Sound Design Class at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, this clip served as my final project for the class. The animation is from an unknown artist as our teacher, Tim Anderson, unfortunately did not know the name of the person that created it. All sound featured in this clip was edited by me.

Foley Exercise

The First of three new sound clips from my sound design class this past spring at NYU SCPS. This clip was a foley exercise for the class in which the footage used was our teacher, Tim Anderson, walking around Washington Square park in New York City.
